Benefit Claim Deadline
March 30, 2024
All extended health, dental and flexible spending claims for expenses incurred in 2023 must be received by Sun Life within 90 days of the end of the calendar year. This means Sun Life must receive your claims on or before March 30. Submit claims through the Sun Life Website, the mobile app or by mail.

Assignment of Duties

by March 31, Department Heads assign duties for the next academic year following consultation and discussion with faculty at a meeting of the departmental faculty

by April 30, deans of non-departmentalized colleges assign duties for the next academic year following consultation and discussion with faculty at a meeting of the college faculty, and deans of departmentalized colleges approve duties assigned by department heads for the next academic year

Renewal of Probation and Tenure

by March 31, the Renewals and Tenure Appeal Committees determines all cases before it and makes its recommendations to the President for transmission to the Board

by April 30, the President advises any candidate who has appealed to the Renewals and Tenure Appeal Committee of the Board’s decision; if the decision is negative, the Chair of the Board provides the candidate with a statement of reasons for the negative decision

Promotion

by March 31, the President advises candidates for promotion of the decision of the Board (except when the candidate’s case is pending before Promotion Appeal Committee)

by April 15, the Promotions Appeal Committee considers all appeals and submits its positive recommendations to the President for transmission to the Board

by May 15, the Board considers all cases for promotion and the President advises candidates of the Board’s decision

Salary Review

by March 31, the President’s Review Committee considers all cases before it and submits its decisions to the President for the information of the Board
